Funny Enjoyable show!!!
ladies_pinch1 September 2005
I really Loved this show! First time i saw the advert for it i must admit i was drawn to it because it starred Joseph Lawrence, but within the first few minutes of the pilot i was hooked!! And I'm so extremely sad that i haven't seen every episode! The characters were really funny and quite realaterble! There was Brooke the youngest of the three siblings, thinking that living with her older siblings without her parents would be awesome but soon learns that it comes with consequences, doing this as she's trying to get through high school. Sally the older sister who is obsessed with fashion and boys! Chris the dumb but lovable brother who has a funny comment for everything and Kurt the oldest who thinks he is in charge of everything now his parents have gone! All the episodes are funny (well all the ones i have seen!!) A lot of people have given this show a really bad review, but i don't see how its a harmless funny show that loads of people enjoyed! And if you didn't like it than you must have no sense f humour because most of it is realistic, so you need to get over yourself if you hated this how!!!

Amazing
madman_salv2 January 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I am completely shocked that this show had been cancelled.Ity only lasted one year.I just recently started watching it and I love it.Its a show that could of gone as far as Friends went.It had the humour and was extremely enjoyable.

It is about 2 brothers and 2 sisters living under one roof without their parents.Kurt(Joey Lawrence) plays the part of the oldest sibling and takes on the more fatherly role.

This should of lasted much more than year as it was fantastic. Amazing show with all the best actors.

10/10

Way to funny! ~!

The show has a really good unique story line that i like. The kids are funny especially Kyle Howard, Mo Gaffney and Joe Lawerence characters. The show, show's great promise to do well but a little more has to happen you know hear a little bit more of the parents. I love it though my mom says that Kyle's character really makes the show but i think really it's all of them and either way i love it. It's funny and fresh and i hope alot of people tune in a watch. Recommended for people who like good story lines and a good HAHA! ~! every now and then.

Brilliant!
brummie367 August 2005
I loved every minute of this show.

A lot of people are rubbishing the show but i think the actors in it are brilliant. Well worth a watch even though it has vanished from British TV. It annoys me when rubbish like Mowesha run forever and aren't even funny and shows like this aren't given a chance.

We need shows like this in todays world when we feel like watching a decent program with good gags that you don't have to think too much about. Its the same format as Friends and that ran for a successful 10 series.

Also small fact when friends was first screened people hated it and said it wouldn't last as the characters are rubbish, unrealistic and unfunny.

i cant wait till i am famous and request to have these shows remade just for me to watch.

Now thats a dream.

Great show!!

I was searching the web when i found this site, and i would just like to say that it is great! Now down to business. I have read a lot of negative reviews about this show saying that it is unoriginal etc.... Maybe so, but if somethings not broken, don't fix it. R.O.T.H is using a tried and tested formula for success, and i like it. Just as an example, the HUGELY successful sitcom FRIENDS had many bad reviews when it started and viewing figures were not that good. However, once people saw the brilliance behind it and just how similar some (not all) of the story-lines are to real life it became a cult. I don't think there is a single person on the planet that has not heard of FRIENDS. And just to the moron that said the acting was bad, try it yourself, its hard. If you people that think it sucks think they can do any better, then write your own damn show and see how that turns out. Until that happens keep your negativity to yourselves!!!!

Yours Slightly Peeved, R.E. Hawkins....

More generic sitcoms from the WB
vertigo_1431 December 2003
I was delighted to find a show with my two favorite fellas: Joey Lawrence and Kyle Howard, but disappointed at the results. It is just another dull sitcom that may have a bit of sharp wit from time to time, but the writing is just plain horrible. Four siblings living together in their parents house while their folks are off somewhere else. Joey Lawrence plays the oldest brother who constantly tries to instill order in the family. Kyle Howard plays the brainless other brother with nothing but stupid remarks at every pass. There's the beauty queen type older sister and then the rambunctious youngest sister. And from time to time, there's a neighbor who pops in every now and then for some comic relief.

I wouldn't be surprised if the network canceled this show and jammed another nameless, generic, unfunny sitcom in its spot. It's really a lousy show.

Run "out of your house" when this is on.
DamienWasHere20 February 2004
If you have a yen to watch the worst, most uninspired, smarmiest and un-funniest sitcom in history (or since OLIVER BEENE) please give RUN OF THE HOUSE the once-over -- but don't try this at home.

It's almost like the producers/writers/creators tried intentionally to make the worst TV show possible. In the spirit of good will, God bless them if they won the grand prize because they deserved it.

The premise (assuming there is one) is old, tired and uninteresting. The acting is bad, and the writing is -- SET UP, WISE CRACK, JOKE... SET UP, WISE CRACK, JOKE etc etc etc and so on. Poor Joey Lawrence, he's already starting to be used as a 90s nostalgia act -- and he's only in his 20s!

Joey, PLEASE FIRE YOUR AGENT!

It boggles the mind how shows get greenlighted...and this one ran three red lights on the way to the studio.

Disjointed non-melodrama version of Party of Five
budikavlan2 November 2003
The tale of 3 adult siblings caring for their teenage sister in the absence of parents, Run of the House is surprisingly like Party of Five except without the angst and with a much weaker cast. The Run of the House family don't feel like a family. Kyle Howard as Chris makes easily the best impression, but it's difficult to believe he is related to Joey Lawrence and Sasha Barrese. Margo Harshman as the teenage sister has so far suffered from a bland, underwritten role, and Mo Gaffney's "concerned neighbor" is pure dead wood. Howard is worth attention, but I'm not marking my schedule to watch this show in 2004.

It's okay, but I have a prediction. it'll be canceled for Fall 2004. Not as funny as assumed. but it's only a few weeks new....
