A ridiculous, but at that, a funny picture, located in Snakevllle, Slim organizes a regiment to protect the town from the Mexicans and persuades Pete to join. There is much action of a fulsome nature, but Slim makes good in a wondrous manner and wins the girl in the end. - The Moving Picture World, August 15, 1914
