Fresh look at modern sexuality
jmatrixrenegade9 March 2005
This American is getting a chance to watch this Canadian show via Free Speech TV, a channel offered on Dish Network.

The show concerns dating and sexual issues via a women's point of view. The centerpiece is a sex/relationship columnist talking about the issues with two of her friends, a honestly slutty sounding "Buffy" and a more ordinary sounding "Isabel" (who has some behind the scenes IMDb credits of her own) while "boys in the bar" talk about them as well. An amusing addition in each episode in the superhero "Dating Girl" (a sort of superhero on the cheap) going on errands of mercy, giving advice to those in need.

It is an enjoyable :30 though the free spirit, easy dating style of the participants (at times others fill-in when the subject requires it, such as having a child or getting married) might not be seen as matching the true life experiences of many viewers. Nonetheless, the issues are discussed in a fresh way. For instance, at least one "boys in the bar" (at?) had a gay p.o.v. as well.

I rather hear these women talk about sex than some other city girls that I know.

One show Americans need
movieviewer1-114 December 2004
In America we have some thing about talking at all about sex and it is difficult to get any alternate points-of-views on sex then what your fifth grade teacher teaches you. This show is the thing people in America need to attempt to make the only sexually frank things they ever hear have to be compared to shoes a la Sex And The City.

Technically the show has a very affective format and the "Dating Girl" segment offer an element to the show to not make it stale. Also the "guys at the bar" parts show the duel view on the topic of the day. In all this show is the type of frank, forward, helpful thinking that a sexually stagnant generation needs to help them find themselves.
