One Word: AWESOME!

I love this game! Its really great. You play as Kahuana a team leader of the Navy SEALs. The game is great because the AI is really smart in this game. Your not just playing with a brick wall there really smart. Enemys will take cover, throw grenades, call for back-up and lots of things. This game is also online which is fun to play. There are tons of weapons to get in this games also. So whoever reads this should go out and play it, its a blast.

Realistic, threatening, and superb game!

SOCOM: US Navy Seals is a game that requires more than just gunpower - it requires stealth, tactical abilities, and teamwork. The missions are hugely varied, the graphics are very good for a game from 2002, the weapons are realistic and varied, and your enemies are not thick or so smart they're irritating, just normal average Joes. SOCOM: US Navy Seals definitely beats games like Call of Duty on the threatening scale - the tense musical score and the dark settings put you right in the middle of the action. It is set around the time we're living in now (late 2006 - early 2007). The crosshair controls are slightly annoying and hard at first, but when you get used to them, they only add to this great game. The briefings and squad controls before each mission only add to the experience, and capture the look and feel of the stealthy military. Engaging terrorists in hand-to-hand combat has always been an uneasy subject, but this game does not glamorise it, and I personally think that this game is a huge success, and that it should be played as a true feel of life inside the modern army. This is what all games should aspire to. A great job, let down by nothing at all! Play it at once! 10/10

Pretty average and generic military game

I remember TV ads of this back in the early 2000s. Everyone was in their homes with their little headsets on and taking the game very seriously. Back when playing online and communicating with voice wasn't all that common. 20 years later I finally tried it. Every aspect of the game is generic. The story, the gameplay, the music, etc. It's pretty easy too and the game constantly pounds you with tutorial messages about all kinds of sophisticated stealth and squad usage features, but you can just tell everyone to follow, fire at will and run through the missions. Needless to say, you wouldn't need to waste your time with any of the gimmicks this game advertised so intensely. And the voice actress giving you mission briefings and communicating with you during missions almost sounds like one of those voice engines, where you have an emotionless voice say things that you type in.
