MOSCOW -- Prague-based Stillking Films on Thursday reported a record year for its feature film division, doubling revenue to $348 million in 2003 compared with $168 million in 2002. The boom in foreign features shooting at the Czech facilities was fueled by Eurotrip (DreamWorks), Van Helsing (Universal) and The Prince and Me (Paramount), together with Stillking co-productions Tristan and Isolde (Fox), Alien vs. Predator (Fox) and Sentiment (Bonton), according to the company. Stillking said the upturn proved that Prague remains a top destination for international producers seeking to take advantage of low cost European locations, despite a steep appreciation in the value of local currency and the fall in the value of the U.S. dollar.
