Maybe I am just being misantrophic, but I always thought these two guys are entertainment robots with no appeal.
It is like they are on total over-time, but the referee has no idea that he should blow it off. So they just continue to bring in guest after guest, but that I guess is all right.
The worst part is that they are very narcissistic and they make people watch them perform different kinds of stunts. Like trying rugby or diving from the 10 meter board.
They are probably very nice guys, but I always found them to extremely annoying.
