Really good, but really short...
Ceres-Tinkerbell23 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
If you want to watch it, it's on you tube. It was good, I read it's a psychological film for co-dependent relationships, so it makes its point. There is not much to say about performances, you gt the picture, you get convinced, especially from Willie Garcon, as he is the one who panics. Misha Collins is also convincing, very calm, as he needs to be. I liked it, the feeling and the message it passes, but if I were to make one film like that, I would have made it at least 7 minutes long. The beginning of the film is a little weak, I thought it needed more preparation before getting to the point, which is the co-dependent relationship between the man hanging and the man holding the rope. Maybe they could show Misha waiting for a longer time, or show something more about Willie. Also, I thought the people passing with the car should either be off, or more involved. All in all, a good film!

You have to be able to understand the metaphor to enjoy this

You have to be able to understand the metaphor to enjoy this film. This short is not to be taken literally. It's about your mental health and setting boundaries. Sometimes we think its out job to save people but it's not. I know that can be hard to hear but it's true. We can be there but a person has to choose to save themselves. There are people who come into our lives and make us feel responsible for them but if they won't take your hand they have already made their choice. The Crux uses metaphor to explore these things. Misha Collins plays the part perfectly. It's short but I'm glad this film was made.

good film!

I try not to spoiler anything but Im not sure.) A deep meaning story.Set up is good, rhythm is good, the story is clean and straightforward but you will need sometime to really get the message.Though the art direction could be better. Now is a little bit like student work, or i should say, a student-capable high quality work. But these things are personal so never mind:) The actors performances were good of course. And the characters, I could relate to them. And I believe other audiences could too. For things really matter or not, we face the same situation everyday. watch the film because of Misha, but what i got is unexpected. Go watch it now, you wont regret.
