In real life as of 2019, Kirby Heybourne is the only actor of the main three who is an active member of The LDS Church. Will and Danny have both since left the LDS faith.
The part of Moosebutter was originally written for the REAL Mormon boy band "Jericho Road". Unfortunately, Jericho Road is owned by Deseret Book, who forbade them to be in the movie because they found the song "Sweet Spirit" to be offensive.
The number listed on Will and Danny's flyer for the boy band audition is 867-5309, which references the Tommy Tutone song "Jenny (867-5309)." This number also appears in the other Halestorm films "The Singles Ward," "The R.M.," and "Church Ball."
At the time of filming, Will Swenson was married to Peter Brown's cousin. The first song they wrote together was "Nourish and Strengthen". He is now married to Audra McDonald.
