Frog and Toad Together (1987)
Will Ryan: Frog
Quotes
-
Frog : [as he finishes tying string around the box of cookies] There. Now we won't eat any more cookies.
Toad : [as Frog looks down at the box; matter-of-factly again] But--we can cut the string and open the box.
Frog : [looking up again and thinking to himself] That is true. Uh, I--I'll put the box up high on the shelf.
-
Strange Theater Emcee : [as we hear a drum roll] Presenting the Greatest Toad in All the World!
[the curtain rises on Toad as we hear an extensive applause, then Toad bows. We see Frog applaud, then Toad bow again]
Frog : Hurray for Toad!
[the applause fades]
Strange Theater Emcee : Toad will now play the piano very well.
-
Frog : [approaching Toad's bed, suspecting he had a bad dream; last lines] I'm right here; wake up, Toad.
Toad : [as he stops squirming and panicking in his nightmare and suddenly sits up to see Frog] Frog, is that really you?
Frog : Well of course it's me.
Toad : [getting out of bed] And are you your own right size?
Frog : Yes, I think so.
Toad : Frog, I'm so glad that you came over.
Frog : I always do.
-
Toad : [as he and Frog continue eating cookies even after they promise themselves to stop eating them] Mmm, we must stop eating!
Frog : Yes. We need will power.
Toad : You--what is will power?
Frog : Will power is trying hard *not* to do something that you really want to do.
Toad : You mean like trying *not* to eat all of these cookies?
Frog : Right. I'll put the cookies in a box.
