- In keeping with the franchise's themes, the game has a dark and creepy vibe all throughout; even in the daytime, Transylvania is a grim, foreboding place, and the closer the player gets to Dacula's castle, the more desolate and dark and land becomes. And when night falls, it gets even worse, with a much darker ambience and stronger monsters.
- The enemies are horrific monsters, featuring fiendish mutations and the undead.
