Walter Lantz, Silent Comedy Star
Peggy Shaw -- for some reason, in this, her last movie, she is credited as "Marny Shaw" -- is coming to visit her uncle the farmer. The two hands, Walter Lantz and Tiny Ward, are excited and fall in love with her instantly and perform some typical silent comedy gags. Later they are in an auto race.
I grew up with Lantz on television, speaking easily with Woody Woodpecker, and have seen a few of his Dinky Doodle shorts, in which he performs with the animated Dinky and his dog Weakheart, so I knew that he was quite capable of doing slapstick comedy. Here he is, with only a few bits of animation in the short. It's not a great comedy, but it is a pleasant one.
