Covers it all

This is one of the two featurettes on the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD of Universal Soldier, obviously dealing with the making of that film. It consists of interviews with cast and crew, behind-the-scenes footage and clips of the movie. They go into special effects, action, stunts(like the dam sequence), humor, and of course, that Damme butt. We also find out about the rivalry between, well, who of the UniSols had the bigger... muscles. You get genuine insight into how certain things in this came about, such as the short lines of Jean-Claude, who also has some funny comments. Devlin and Emmerich are two of the best and most interesting and hilarious to watch(though Lundgren comes really close), but everyone has got something to say. There are spoilers in this, so you should hold off on it until you've seen the flick itself. It's all quite well-edited, sharp and this doesn't linger excessively on anything. The pacing is pretty good. This is nicely entertaining and informative throughout, and no fan of the subject of this documentary should miss it. I recommend this to anyone who belongs in that group, and anyone who wants to know more about the process. 7/10
