The city name Raseir is an anagram of Sierra.
The game plot takes place in the Middle East; the season is summer; the central element is Fire; the mythology is mostly of Arabian Nights.
This is the only game in the series without a peaceful place enchanted by Erana, in which the hero may safely rest, or otherwise any influence of Erana in it. The only reference to Erana is her portrait in the Wizards' Institute of Technocery. If the hero requests her sponsorship in his initiation as a wizard, he is told that Erana had not been answering the WIT's summons for many years.
All three types of character can turn to Paladin in the end of the game, providing that the player does not commit any dishonorable actions. The Fighter and Wizard who become Paladin can score the maximum 500 points and gain additional 50 points. However, if the Thief wishes to become Paladin, he must give up specific dishonest actions for which his character is solely rewarded with points (like stealing), thus finishing the game without scoring the maximum points.
