During the final day of auditions director Jeremy LaLonde was late and missed Chani Nicholas. Upon looking over her head shot and resume, including a credit for portraying "Annie Hall" on the stage, he immediately requested that she come back and read. She was given the part on the spot.
During the shooting of the noir segments of the film, a local costume designer stalked through the back alley wearing a very convincing animatronic Predator costume. After getting over the initial shock a short scene was added to include him, but then cut during editing.
Most of the locations of the film are all within a five-minute walk of each other in downtown St. Catharines making the film easier to shoot.
The weather during the shoot changed so drastically that the winter flashback break-up scene and the flower shop scene were shot only five days apart.
Each member of the crew can be seen hidden throughout the film.
