Good Guests, Bad Host
Brownsbros37 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
My summary says it all. I thought the Smallville cast members all did a good job in their respective interviews. However, the host, Brooke Burke, was pitiful. She was interviewing the cast, yet the questions she asked were as if she were talking to the characters they play. You can even see some of the cast members looking at her like she's an idiot. One funny moment came during the interview with Tom Welling, Annette O' Toole, and John Schneider, where she asked Tom if they were good parents. I don't remember the exact quote, but he said something to the effect of that he had seen John and Annette with their real life kids, and they seemed like good parents to him. The other really memorable part was Michael Rosenbaum talking about meeting John Glover for the first time, and thinking he was going to be this real serious stuffed shirt type of actor, only to find out that he was the exact opposite. Rosenbaum's personality seemed to be more like the Flash, of whom he voices on Justice League, rather than Lex. All and all though it was a good piece on the Smallville gang, and they all came across as being really down to Earth.

the small-ville backstage special was really good. i first saw it when i didn't know a lot about small-ville, and i learned a lot about the characters and the actors.

Tom Welling did a lot of interviews, but he was awfully quiet. i think he could have opened up more, and that would have made the show a lot better.

John Schneider was in one interview, and he was really funny. He's usually real fun to watch, and this was a prime example.

Annette O'tool was also in one interview. she was kinda ditzy, though. she kept telling everyone how she'd never seen some of the clips of scenes they showed, even though she was in them.

John Glover was funny and creepy, which was very entertaining to see.

Michael Rosenbaum was hilarious, as usual. his were probably the best interviews, because i was laughing constantly.

Kristen Kruek was okay, but she isn't one of my favorites, so i cant really comment.

Alison Mack pointed out that no one on the show really mourns for the people that die. so true.

overall, it was pretty good, if you can excuse the horrible interviewer, Brooke Burke
