UK thriller The Holding made its Us debut at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX last year, but as of yet there has been no word about a Us DVD distro. That is until Camelot Entertainment swooped in and grabbed the rights to the film. Now it's just a matter of time until we can all experience the claustrophobic creepiness that is The Holding.
Although no official release date has yet been announced, Camelot is excited to get The Holding out into our sweaty, waiting hands. The film, directed by Susan Jacobson, stars Kierston Wareing (It's a Free World, Fish Tank), Vincent Regan (300, Clash of the Titans), David Bradley (Harry Potter series, Hot Fuzz) and Terry Stone (Rollin' With The Nines). Check out the trailer below.

Having disliked Rollin' with the Nines and Rise of the Footsoldier, Julian Gilbey's extremely violent London underworld gangster movies, when they appeared a few years ago, I'm pleased to say I greatly enjoyed his new picture, a violent, continually gripping thriller set in the Scottish Highlands. It turns on five youngish mountaineers on holiday some miles from Inverness, who come to the aid of a six-year-old girl buried alive in a remote forest. She speaks only some eastern European language, possibly Serbian, and is presumably a kidnap victim, which makes her helpers the target of some desperate men. A terrific battle for survival ensues, admirably photographed by Gilbey's regular collaborator, Ali Asad, and edited by his brother, William Gilbey, who also collaborated on the script.
Four parties are variously involved: the mountaineers taking risky shortcuts to get the girl over difficult terrain to the nearest town; the seasoned kidnappers,...

Freestyle Releasing, in association with Cinemarket Films, has acquired U.S. theatrical rights to Andrei Konchalovsky's "The Nutcracker in 3D." The film will open Nov. 24.
Elle Fanning, Nathan Lane and John Turturro star in the new interpretation of the story that inspired Tchaikovsky's music for the classic ballet.
The story centers on 9-year-old Mary (Fanning), who is celebrating Christmas in Vienna and receives an enchanted nutcracker as a gift from her Uncle Albert (Lane). The nutcracker comes to life and takes Mary into his magical world of fairies, sugarplums and other toys. Ultimately, Mary must face off against the Rat King (Turturro) to save the Nutcracker and his kingdom.
To augment the original Tchaikovsky score, "The Lion King" lyricist Tim Rice has written eight new songs for the film, which was shot on location in Budapest, Hungary.
"Andrei's inspired vision brings this classic Christmas tale to the screen in a way never before imagined,...

Dizzee Rascal according to a recent poll. Surely we can do better than that? Who do you think would make the best black James Bond – nominations for P Diddy don't count
First things first: this isn't going to be a blog about whether or not there should be a black James Bond, because, let's face it, it's barely even an option at the moment. Eon Productions assumed it was taking a giant stand in the name of diversity when it hired Daniel Craig as the spy, simply because his hair was lighter than Pierce Brosnan's. So the reality of a black James Bond, if there's to be one at all, is years away.
Instead, let's just pretend the next Bond will be black. So who do we cast? According to a survey by a second-hand classified listings website, the clear winner is Dizzee Rascal. Yes, really: Dizzee Rascal, whose...
