This film was fascinating on so many levels, above all countering the narrative that the 6 million Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust went 'like lambs to the slaughter'. There were, in fact, many incredible examples of resistance, especially by women who risked their lives to save others. The film tells these and other stories so well, including through moving and educational interviews with Holocaust survivors and their families. This is a vital film in Holocaust liturgy and should be shown, in particular, to younger generations for whom a lack of Holocaust education is playing out in a devastating wave of antisemitism. Never again is now - this film will remind you why.
