An acrobatic troupe of women -- I suppose they might be sisters, but again, it might be like the Pollard company in Australia, all of whose members were given the surname "Pollard" when they appeared in American films in the 1920s -- appear in front of the Pathe backdrop and do some acrobatics: back flips, human pyramids, and one maneuver in which three of them grasp each other around the waist and cartwheel on their way, like something out of THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE, although significantly less creepy.

This sort of act was still popular on TV when I was a kid. I seem to recall something like it on the Ed Sullivan show, perhaps played to something catchy by Khachaturian.
