An eccentric character farce. It makes good distinctly, because its characters are played by actors with the peculiar ability to be wooden and funny at the same time. Good clowns are not so numerous as blackberries in July and it takes a good deal of ability to mimic a marionette while doing the lively playing required by pictures of this kind. There are several burlesque characters in it and three cub bears, thin and lively. - The Moving Picture World, June 13, 1914
