tamba a friendly baby dragon
summer-rainfall9 August 2007
tamba is a very sweet girl dragon who loves to play dress up her best costume is that of a princess. This program introduces the concept of time and seasons to pre-school children. It also encourages children to show emotions and helps explain how to visualise other peoples emotions through song and rhyme.Children are encouraged to let the feelings show in a positive way and not keep them bottled up. This show is one of many on the CBEEBIES network which cater for children from birth upwards. The programmes are all original and are produced and filmed in England. This is a fun programme which can be watched and enjoyed by all members of the family. With its bright colours, singing and stories it holds the attention of both baby's and pre-schoolers alike.

A modern Playschool with excellent presenters & content.
Growlyted16 October 2005
Tikkabilla is one of the best modern, interactive, preschool shows. Tamba, a cute & mischievous baby dragon is the star & he is taken care of by six friendly adults. (Two on a rotation basis.)Each episode features story telling (some of which are acted out), fun makes, mini documentaries (accessed through the windows like Playschool), time telling and entertaining songs. Sometimes there is a cartoon or mime included. The documentaries fall into three categories - wildlife, how objects are made and children at various activities. (Play, household, cultural etc.)The presenters engage well with Tamba & their young audience. Catchy theme tune & inventive title sequence. Blends education & fun very well. Humans & puppets are still the best formula. Tamba is simply irresistible. The soft toy is very popular in our household. Give him a chance.

This program is a excellent educational program

I Like this programme, because it's very entertaining, and educational, based a little on Play School, with songs, stories, things to make and do. The main people of Tikkabilla, are really comfortable to watch, they are excellent at what they do. I'd recommend this for any young child to watch, Great! The songs that are featured, are lively and give the child, chance to join in, with the actions, teaches the child, about things, when they go through the Square, Arched or Round windows, they even have the Clock, to teach your child the time (Something a clock, and the stories are sometimes acted out. Two of the People, do a funny mime act. Our children don't miss it, and sit there for the time it is on. Excellent Children's program.
