very good collection of performances from the mid to late 60s

Very good film. Don't look for any high quality production values. In fact, at times, even though the movie is from the 1960's European blues tours, the film has the appearance of one of those hokey 1930s and 40s musicals. A couple of times, i expected Abbott and Costello to show up with the Andrews sisters.

Nonetheless, the music is great. This was a wonderful series of concerts that revitalized the careers of many American Blues artists (it is a famous series of tours across Europe mentioned at the very end of the movie Cadillac Records). For myself, the highlights were Matt Guitar Murphy (who was immortalized as a fry cook in The Blues Brothers). Always, Muddy was great and Amos Milburn was new to me, and quite a treat. Enjoy!
