Bathroom Humor With a Twist
cheathamg26 June 2006
This is a very short film, about seven to eight minutes, about two people who have apparently committed a theft of considerable size. The money is locked in a trunk and the trunk is boobytrapped. There is one key that will allow someone to open the trunk safely. Therefore possession of the key is vital. Unfortunately there is no honor among thieves and a struggle ensues for possession of the key. As somebody says, half is not enough. The story takes a rather nasty but humorous turn when one person swallows the key and the other does what needs to be down to retrieve it. The film is packed with information and detail, which is amazing given the extremely small amount of time it's on the screen. Neither character is particularly good or bad, likable or hateful but you can believe in them and that's a mark of good storytelling. Production values are adequate but minimal. It's a bare bones short story on film and it follows the same rules for a short story in print; highly restrict in both place and action. That doesn't mean it's lacking in interest.
