Great to watch, and really well done.

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed watching this: it was great to see some of the greatest comedy sketches ever produced all in one chunk. In some ways it was just worth it for nostalgic reasons, but whether you want to reminisce or just have a laugh then this show's really worth a watch. But, much as I love Little Britain I just don't think it should have been top. I mean, it was basically just flavour of the month when the poll was cast, and I just think that it wouldn't exist at all without shows like Monty Python, and by rights they own the top spot. Still, I love the top 3, so I'm happy enough anyway! =D I also enjoyed having a chance to see some sketches that may have passed me by before due to me being too young at the time, which was great. The whole thing is basically a crash course in comedy, should you choose to view it with a view to learning. Also, they had some great interviewees commenting during the show, which really helped to make it. Hope this helped a little. :)

The 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches
jboothmillard13 June 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This was quite an important list to me, it wasn't like 100 Greatest because obviously it was shorter. Tom Baker who narrates Little Britain narrated this programme to discover who the public had voted the number one sketch show sketch. With contributions by David Baddiel, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Tony Blackburn, John Cleese, Barry Cryer, Simon Day, Sir David Frost, Terry Gilliam, Charlie Higson, Ian Hislop, Noddy Holder, Graham Linehan, David Walliams and Matt Lucas, Rory McGrath, David Mitchell and Robert Webb, Bob Mortimer, Mike Myers, Denis Norden, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Bill Oddie, Michael Palin, Nicholas Parsons, Geoffrey Perkins, Steve Punt, Vic Reeves, Griff Rhys Jones, Joan Rivers, Tony Robinson, Cleo Rocos, Arthur Smith, Meera Syal, John Thomson, Arabella Weir and Paul Whitehouse. There were sketches from The League of Gentlemen, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Harry Enfield & Chums, The Fast Show, Little Britain and many other shows. The sketches that stood out were Daffyd Thomas, Ministry of Silly Walks, Circus Comes To Town, Ted & Ralph - The Drinking Game, Vicky Pollard - Swimming Pool, Masterchef and the winner, Lou & Andy - Swimming Pool. Very good!
