I can't outdo fractal_plasma's excellent review, but I really liked the film
While this short animated film is very heavy on symbolism, it didn't turn me off like some "artsy" films have. I don't mind symbolism when it is important to telling a story and when it isn't being used just to convince the viewer that the writers are smarter than you! Here, it is important to telling the story of two young boys who appear to be dying of cancer. While there is no dialog to indicate exactly what's happening, because they are totally bald, it seems the obvious conclusion. The boys are obviously close friends and the film has several moments hinting at their imminent deaths.
The short film was made by David Cumbo from the Art Institute of Pittsburg and it shows amazing polish for such an experimental film. This is thanks both to the capabilities of modern computers (ultra-fast and with great rendering software) and the great skills of Mr. Cumbo. Worth watching--and I agree with fractal_plasma that it bears repeated viewing.
