This show is not very good. I like a couple of the guests they had on sometimes but the writing is very bad and the sketches were way too long, it also just looked very cheap, and the other comics are not very good on this.

and that word is, Retarded. Comedy Inc. is a show that calls itself a comedy, but simply does not make people laugh. It has a totally lame cast, with Roman Danylo constantly over-acting his parts, and making up REALLY stupid characters for which to do his sketches. The girls on the show, quite frankly, have no comedic talent. They are just horrible at impressions, for those of you who have seen the judge Judy skit, you know what I'm talking about. Also, it is a Canadian show, so why do they try and tackle so many American issues? Americans do not want to see a bunch of no talent Canadians making American jokes, just as Canadians don't want to see a bunch of slack jawed Americans making Canadian jokes. It just doesn't flow. Anybody thinking of watching this show, you might as well take a fork and jab yourself in the eye, that would be a lot more entertaining then watching this dreg. Bottom line: over acting, bad impressions, lame skit ideas, terrible show.

Comedy Inc is horrible.
Spike TV was given this show for free and refused to air it because it was so completely awful.
Why can Spike TV see how bad it is right away and CTV keeps airing it? The Comedy Network has come up with nothing but losers for years but this show is actually produced by the main CTV network s you'd think it should have a shot at actually being funny.... but no dice.
The writing is terrible, the performances are terrible and the show's star Roman Danylow is the worst of all.
Almost every sketch shows the cast sitting around him while he acts wacky or tries to use silly accents or pretends to have orgasms in his pants.
It's not funny at all and everyone knows it, so why is it still on?

I thought that maybe over the course of 30 minutes, a show billing itself as "edgy satire with political/social overtones and intense physical comedy" would elicit at least a snicker or two. Instead, I found myself increasingly angry that my tax money (throught the Canadian Film Tax Grants program) was being wasted on this garbage. Not one laugh, chuckle, tee-hee or even a smile came across my face while this was on.
It's the worst kind of comedy - bland, poorly delivered, and totally lacking in talent. Anyone associated with this show should be ashamed of themselves. The 'humour' is so painfully forced from the performers, it's actually hard to watch.
Also, canned laughter should have been abolished after the demise of the '80s sitcom. It only serves to prove that no one in their right mind would find the show funny.
I recommend turning the channel and watching anything else if this happens to be on. I would have given it a zero if I could have.

That's all I really can say about this show, "Pathetic". The performers are all so bad it's annoying, I actually even have a physical reaction watching this show like I'm about to be sick and I'm not just saying that to make a point it is really so bad that I feel a little sick to my stomach, not sure how that reaction works but I swear it's true. Who ever writes this televised garbage should never be allowed to write anything ever again. This show is easily one of the very worst shows I have ever seen in my entire life and as much as I want to say it is the #1 worst show ever made I'm not sure that's true because there have been some other awful shows but right now I can't think of anything I'm sure is worse than Comedy Inc. It is shameful that this show was ever put on TV and I mean it who ever spent good money to make this show and wasted all that air time airing it should be ashamed of themselves. This show's Pathetic.

This show is so terrible that I am 100 percent sure that I am now stupider for having watched it at all. This show is so badly acted and written and awful in every possible way that I can't believe it actually was put on TV, it looks like the CBC just gave a few video cameras and 20 bucks for props to a group of idiots who thought they were funny and told them to make a show. Nothing on this show has ever been funny at all, the entire show is a waste of time and money and who is going to give me back the couple of hours I have wasted watching this show and trying to figure out how and why it made it onto TV? I hope that it is over and that they never rerun it again.

Comedy Inc is one of the worst shows ever. I know people just go around saying that about any show that they don't like or that is bad, "this is the worst show ever", but in this case I really truly mean it. When I am watching it, I don't know why I punished myself like that but I did, I must be a masochist, but anyway whenever I watched it I literally believed I was watching the single worst TV comedy ever produced. It really is that bad and anyone reading this who has seen the show knows exactly what I am talking about, and anyone reading this who has never seen the show do yourself a favour and never ever try to watch this show it will just waste half an hour of your life and make you hate everything about life. If it wasn't for almost every other show on the Comedy Network then this show would be the worst all time, but since they have made even worse shows than this it is saved from the title of "all time worst".

Comedy Inc is without a doubt the single worst sketch comedy television series that has ever been produced and put on the air, I am completely confused as to who actually put money into making this show and how is it possible that at no point when they were writing or taping this show not any of these people realized how awful it was and did anything to fix it, or said hey maybe we should not make or broadcast this show because it is so completely awful? It is amazing to me that something this bad not only was put on TV but that it is still on the air! Looking at the comments not just here but any google search will reveal just how completely hated this show is.....so how is it on TV? The writing is the worst, the cast is usually awful but sometimes OK, the main cast member (Roman whatever who cares) is so pathetic with his impressions it makes me want to scream.....this show is the worst sketch comedy show ever!

I just watched an older episode of Comedy Inc this afternoon and wanted to look up some more info on one of the actors so I looked it up here on IMDb and I couldn't believe it had a 2.4/10 rating. I think it's a great show. Sure there are some skits that aren't great but I think they have a great cast that has great chemistry. I think that compared to SNL which has just gone to hell and now that there is no Mad TV or Kids in the Hall, I think this is has to be considered one of the great sketch comedies on TV right now. Although I do agree with some of the comments about Roman, I think that he still is pretty funny and does some great impersonations (Tom Cruise, David Caruso) but he also does some not great ones (Captain Kirk) but he does not carry the show, the entire cast makes the show.
It may not be comedy gold, but it doesn't deserve the hate.

Yes, it is true that all the actors go over the top most of the time. And most of the sketches are duds. But there are quite a few that were screamingly funny, such as Quint the Seaman and the Surprise Breakfast sketch, which are my favourite two. You can see that they have a lot of fun making the show together, especially in the Quint the Seaman sketch, they are quite literally laughing uncontrollably. And I like that. The fact that they have so much fun makes the show fun. It makes me enjoy watching.
To sum it up: It's not great, but it's not that bad either, there are a lot of of low and medium quality sketches, but among those are some incredibly funny bits.

Comedy Inc is the worst sketch comedy show I have ever seen on television in my entire life! The sketches they do are awful (or I guess I should say the sketches that they did do because thankfully this show has finally been taken off the air). It is shows like Comedy Inc that prove to me that Canadian television is really sick and the industry as a whole needs to be fixed somehow, because if this is the kind of crap that the comedy channel and CTV will turn out again and a again they clearly do not care one bit about the quality of their programs, they obviously want to just make whatever is cheap that fits the "Canadian made" bill, and in which case I think they should just pull the plug totally and we can just watch BBC or an American channel. It makes me sick that my tax dollars etc are going to give jobs to people like whoever produces this horrible show.

it would be worth it to know i would never have to watch or listen to this garbage again.
"in our next sketch the same guy acts wacky in front of the same group of other people. oh look he's having a constant orgasm how funny is that! now he's osama bin laden's flamingly gay brother! these sketches weren't funny the first three hundred times but maybe now the same jokes are funny... nope, oh well we'll try again next week and maybe someday they magically will be funny." whoever uses our tax dollars to pay for this crap should be flogged in the nearest public square.

Why all the hate?? and 2.4/10 WOW! This show rocks! I've watched quite few shows and laughed my ass off every time. Coming from Python, SCTV, Kids in the Hall, Four on the Floor, MadTv, In Living Colour, Soap, and The Simpson's "Comedy Inc" has become one my favorites as of late. there's excellent writing and acting going on here.
How about that sketch with the Seal on trial for clubbing the Eskimo OMG!! to funny...
or the girl with the coke-bottled glasses that's always speaking dirty and teacher trying to keep it together is Brilliant.
I give it 8/10.

This comment is already more funny than anything that has ever been on Comedy Inc.
The writing is terrible.
The acting is terrible.
All of the skits are predictable and annoying.
Do these people actually think they are funny or are they just laughing their ways to the bank? I guess I have to write ten full lines. Uh. Okay.
This show sucks.
Comedy Stink makes me so depressed I want to commit suicide.
Is that enough? It should be. There is nothing more that needs to be said about this awful show.

Wow - I really hope they publish all the seasons of Comedy Inc on DVD sometime in the future because I would really like to collect this classic comedy series.
To all those that reported negative comments about this series - either most of the humour was over their head, or perhaps they are President Bush supporters because I really don't see how you cannot find this series extremely funny unless you do NOT have a sense of humour (quite possible with Bush supporters!) Anyway check it out and make up your own mind... great comedy in the tradition of Kids in the Hall and other great Canadian ensemble comedy series...

If I was one of the people who was in any way responsible for coming up with this show, producing this show, or putting it on the air and subjecting unsuspecting viewers in Canada to actually watching this show, I would be too ashamed to ever, ever, ever go outside in public again. I would also be too afraid because anyone at any time might recognize me and tell others who I was and then no doubt an angry mob would beat me to death in the middle of the street and the police wouldn't lift a finger to stop it, and you know what, I wouldn't blame them one bit. Anyone who can make something like this and put it on TV probably is too stupid to even know how awful this show is anyway though so they are probably just happy cashing their checks and writing their pathetic jokes.

I have been watching this show since it premiered. I can safely say that it has been one of my favorite comedy shows on Canadian television. I will admit that the humor used is only sometimes "lacklustre," but for the most part, the jokes ARE funny.
I know some of you give it a bad rap for being "stupid," and "retarded," but isn't that sometimes what we all need? People get tired of having to think, sometimes. We have lives, with jobs, and children, and friends, and responsibilities. When we watch television, we're trying to escape. We want something that is a little bit "stupid," sometimes.
I'll admit that I'm not the most harsh critique when it comes to comedy. As long as it makes me laugh, it's gold. And this show makes me laugh. The first few seasons have been great, and although it has faded a little bit since the start, I will continue to watch this show.

"Comedy Inc." is one of the worst Canadian TV shows I have ever seen. I don't know what it is but it seems like almost every comedy show that has been made in this country for at least the last 10 years has been awful. "Comedy Inc." really stands out as one of the very worst but just look at the shows that get made on Comedy Network and you'll see my point. "Keys to The VIP", "Pop Cultured", "Punched Up", "Shakespeare Comedy", "Girls will be Girls", "Hot Box", "Gutter Ball Alley", these shows are so bad I can't believe any of them were even made let alone put on TV in the first place. I am glad "Comedy Inc." is finally gone but what has to happen before we start seeing good shows again instead of one awful show after another?

Did you see the one where they do Osama Bin Laden? Brilliant! Keep up the good work guys, and don't pay any attention to the morons with no funny bone, and IQ's too low to understand satire.
The Comedy Network has lucked out, and putting Comedy Inc. right before The Daily Show is good news too, and will surely increase increase the audience.
If you miss Kids in the Hall and Codco, tune in to COmedy Inc.

I have seen at least two of the performers on this show perform their comedy live and they were very funny, in particular I am thinking of the man in the cast who does a lot of dancing who I saw here in Halifax performing at the Halifax CBC Comedy Festival. He was hilarious, very brilliant stuff and also obviously quite skilled as a dancer/comedian. I was surprised by how awful this show was though, the laugh track is almost deafening and it is put over top every joke as if they are the best jokes ever, in fact they are just about the worst jokes I have ever heard in my life. I don't blame the performers they get paid to do their parts and I assume they obviously don't write their own stuff (again I saw two live and they were very funny). The other one I saw live was the brunette girl who screams a lot who is also on Video On Trial or at least used to be, she was very funny too (and angry! ha ha). Anyway the writing is just terrible and the main actor is also terrible with doing awful parodies of CSI and Tom Cruise. Literally this is the worst sketch comedy show I have seen.
Not great but in my opinion it's the best CBC has to offer lately

CBC has definitely gone down in quality lately, with shows that used to be good (i.e. This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Rick Mercer Report) no longer being worth the small effort required to change the channel and watch them. Comedy inc, although not great, is one of the only CBC shows apart from reruns of Kids in the Hall or SCTV that I find worth watching, since even in a pile of sub-par skits, there is the occasional gem that would give long time shows like SNL a run for their money (and even it isn't innocent in the area of getting worse over the years).
Now, I won't lie, I hate Roman Danylo, but the rest of the cast does do a relatively decent job playing the parts required for this low budget show... you should check out the crappy commercials some of the cast has wound up doing. The humour of this show isn't for everyone, but for people who can understand or find the crudeness enjoyable, it's definitely worth watching over some of the other crap on TV these days In the end though, this show deserves better than a 2.3 rating, and my 10/10 is just to try to give it something more accurate... In all honesty i'd give it a 6 or a 7.

Comedy Inc. is bum vomit. By bum vomit I am sure you realize what I mean exactly, I mean the liquidy unhealthy brown goo that oozes and explodes out of your bum after you've become incredibly sick after drinking a big glass of water straight from a ditch in one of the world's poorest third world countries. Comedy Inc is what you get when you feed a mentally challenged ape nothing but unripened apples for two straight weeks and then punch it in the stomach until it released it's bowels. I know that these feces related comments are very low brow and not very creative but guess what they are still infinitely better thought out and funnier than anything you will ever have the misfortune of having to sit through on this travesty of a show called Comedy Inc.

I can't fathom why people are giving this show such a low rating. I mean the show isn't The Kids In The Hall but then again what is? This show is decent and very funny at times. While the humour can be quite crude, if you have even a slightly Canadian sense of humour than you'll laugh more often than not. One sketch in particular (Quint the Sailor), while juvenile, is still funny. It's comedy people lighten up! All I can say is: don't go by the majority of the reviews here, watch the show for yourself than decide.
Normally I would give this an 8 or a 7, but like reidschentag, I'm giving this a 10 to balance out a very, very unfair rating.
