At least send in the second string to fix a few things!

When absolutely EVERYTHING about a movie is third-rate, it is a challenge to know where to begin. Granted, all movies cannot be as slick as a Tyler Perry flick, but it would make a more interesting SYSTEM WITHIN than this version to see who bribes who to get a mess like this into the national distribution chain. Perhaps what's wrong with THE SYSTEM WITHIN can be illustrated best by focusing on one tiny piece of this fiasco. The closing credits are broken down into three separate sections, for no discernible reason. Jarret Egan (young Trae) is listed in two of them (no one else is duplicated) because no proof-reading was done. On the other hand, lead actress Toneda Laiwan (Angel Good) is nowhere to be found in ANY of the three cast listings! Furthermore, it is obvious the cast and crew--including lead actor Tariq Alexander (Tony "Wise" Good)--provided most of the previous information for this film to IMDb. Their idea of "in ALPHABETICAL order" for "cast" in the "full cast and crew" section reads like this: Whaley, Taimak, Miano, Porter, James, Wilson, Chingy, etc. There is nothing "big" about THE SYSTEM WITHIN, so it must depend on getting the little details right to constitute passable entertainment. Every aspect of this film is as flawed as the cast listing: the plot, the dialog, the acting, the editing, the cinematography, the plausibility--speaking of which, since when can you leave a container full of money in a New York City bus station locker for 15 YEARS and expect your 25-cent rental fee to still be holding it there a decade and a half later?!

Great Acting

Enjoyed this film and the great acting by most of the cast which deals with a male model who is very successful and has just returned from his business trip to his wife and child. All the friends of the model are either jealous or just don't care and their are some who want to destroy his life and career. There is plenty of blood and gore, good and bad sex and scenes in a jail which shows what prison life actually is all about In this film black is fighting black and the black ladies have their hands full to keep them in line.

This really is not that bad of a film and it will keep you entertained if you have not seen it. Enjoy
