Remains the only game in Super Bowl history where a team did not record an offensive score. Washington's only points came when Mike Bass intercepted a botched pass from Dolphins place kicker Garo Yepremian.
The 14 to 7, final score totals 21 points, 3 touchdowns and 3 extra-points, no field-goals or safeties were scored. It's also the all-time lowest scoring Super Bowl game in NFL history.
To date the only time a team (Miami) has won the Super Bowl without scoring any points in the second half of the game.
On January 14, 1973, Elvis Presley performed his "Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite" concert, the first live satellite broadcast in history to feature a single performer. The concert was broadcast live to Asia and the Pacific and on tape delay in Europe. However, it was not broadcast in the United States since it would have conflicted with this Super Bowl played on the same day. The concert was eventually broadcast by NBC as part of a ninety-minute special in April of 1973.
