Sex & Nudity

  • Julie, the town flirt, comes on to Dr. Gibbs early on in the restaurant scene and later at the clinic. Both encounters are rather mild and had no "double entendres" to be concerned with. Mayor Hudson wears a very low cut dress to the town square dance, which seemed uncharacteristic for the character she was portraying. This was a relatively brief scene. There was no other Sex & Nudity in this film.

Violence & Gore

Profanity

  • There is no profanity or crude humor in this movie. Mayor Hudson says the word "crap" in the restaurant scene.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • "Slyder" is the town drunk, but is never shown drinking alcohol. Slyder quickly changes his behavior for the good when he realizes he is part of something worthwhile. Darryl, the slothful soon-to-be father and husband, is shown drinking a beer in one scene. He changes his behavior when he becomes a father.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Nate is frightened by sounds from the forest and basement of the old house in which they are staying. Darryl and Sally rush into the clinic when she goes into labor and blood is shown on her dirty white dress. Emergency procedures have to be performed. Some blood is shown on their hands and on Sally's dress. Later in the movie, Darryl and Sally rush into the clinic with their newborn who is unresponsive. Nate gets lost in the woods and has an asthma attack (he left his inhaler at home). When he is found, he was unresponsive.
