Good...but it ends too quickly and didn't make the most of the scenario

"In the Grease!" is a Hal Roach comedy short starring James Finlayson, a man who gained fame playing the foil in many of Laurel & Hardy's films. Here, he plays a single father trying to raise a brat of a son.

Soon after Finlayson sends his boy to school, the kid returns to tell him that his teach hit him. Finlayson is furious and confronts the teacher. The teacher essentially says that if he thinks he can do better, he should teach for the day....and leaves. Soon James realizes he's in for trouble as the students are an awful and very unruly bunch...and he's soon ready to belt them himself!

This is a cute idea for a film but it seemed to be too short and ended too quickly. In other words, it could have done far more with the material and as a result it's enjoyable but also forgettable. Worth seeing if you are a silent comedy addict but otherwise easy to skip.
