Alright, this is the introduction of the character Adam Fuller; it's starts out okay. Didn't care for the funeral scene when the other Captain (not Fuller) talks about how sad it is that the character Jenko died in a car accident rather than in the line of duty. What? Whatever... Anyway, the episode is apparently about a principal who is physically abusive to "bad" students (whether bad or not, no child should be hit by an adult especially one with power) -- now, granted, this bad student is in a gang and unless the student physically assualted the principal etc., first then the principal has no business putting hands on a student. If the student committed a crime (as stated and suggested in this film) then expel him or her or call the police. So, is this episode about that? No. The gang member is expelled and comes back with his gang and takes over the school with no other plan; even though (apparently) he's an intelligent kid even for a gang member. Not saying intelligent people don't do stupid things, at times, but this whole episode seemed ridiculous to me and really addressed nothing.
Every school I've been to growing up in the early 80s to mid 90s had police on campus. Elementary school: a police officer lived in a mobile home on school property. Junior High: a police Sgt. was on campus every single day. High School: we had our own Sheriff's Dept. on campus (my high school had 6,000+ students, and had a lot of gangs in it) so here you have a rough school which based on the auditorium scene probably had a couple thousand students -- no police or security anywhere. Really? Unrealistic.
Basically what this episode is about is: Jenko dies. Fuller replaces him. Hanson and Hoff go undercover at a high school with gang activity where a principal physically abuses some students. One gang member who was abused by principal comes back and holds the school hostage with no plan in addressing anything, and then gets arrested. The end. Pathetic.
