- Sherry Palmer: Hello David
- President David Palmer: How did you get in here without my authorization?
- Sherry Palmer: We were married for many years: many people respect that even if you don't. I need to talk to you
- President David Palmer: We don't have anymore to talk about. You're not my wife anymore
- Sherry Palmer: It's not about us
- President David Palmer: Then what?
- Sherry Palmer: Not here. I need to be alone with you
- President David Palmer: You know what? Even if I were interested to hear what you have to say, today is impossible. You shouldn't have come here
- Sherry Palmer: It's about your administration
- President David Palmer: What about it?
- Sherry Palmer: Just give me five minutes
- President David Palmer: I don't have time now
- Sherry Palmer: Did you order an evacuation of military personnel out of Los Angeles?
- President David Palmer: Who told you that?
- Sherry Palmer: Five minutes
- President David Palmer: Wait here. I'll call you
- President David Palmer: Did they find the black box yet?
- Roger Stanton: Not yet Mr. President
- President David Palmer: Damn it, how could something like this happen?
- Roger Stanton: I don't know Sir: there is a multi-agency investigation. NTSB is on the way
- Lynne Kresge: [to Lynn] schedule a call with the Prime Minister
- Lynne Kresge: Yes Sir
- President David Palmer: I want to talk to him before the rumors start but I'm afraid they may not be too far from the truth. This was not an accident
- Roger Stanton: I was thinking along the same lines. The Prime Minister may not have been happy about the ambassador's cooperation with us
- President David Palmer: There's another possibility
- Roger Stanton: I'm not following Sir
- Lynne Kresge: That we did it?
- President David Palmer: Correct
- Roger Stanton: That hardly seems likely Sir
- President David Palmer: The ambassador was taking classified information back to his government. Both of you thought it was a questionable call
- Lynne Kresge: And if talking about it here Sir, you can bet that there's others back in DC that feel even more strongly
- President David Palmer: Set up an independent investigator. Let's find out exactly who's in the loop
- Lynne Kresge: Yes Sir
- Nina Myers: [while in the interrogation room] let's keep it simple: if you want to stop the bomb, I need to be on a plane to Visalia now
- Jack Bauer: Did you pick Visalia for a reason? Or would anywhere outside the blast zone work?
- Nina Myers: My contact is in Visalia
- Jack Bauer: Who is it?
- Nina Myers: The only person who can tell us where the bomb is. I'm not going to tell you until we get there
- Jack Bauer: Fine. You can sit here and wait for the blast to hit
- Nina Myers: Stop wasting time. I'm sitting here looking at the President's signature
- Jack Bauer: I'm here. His not, and I'm not going to make a move until I believe you're creditable
- Nina Myers: I only get the pardon unless I stop the bomb, why wouldn't I do everything I can?
- Jack Bauer: Because your worst than a traitor. You don't even have a cause, you don't believe in anything. You would sell anything and anyone to the highest bidder
- Jack Bauer: [after returning to the interrogation room] who is the man in Visalia?
- Nina Myers: Mamud Faheen
- Jack Bauer: That's not news: we've got his name
- Nina Myers: But you don't know where he is I do
- Jack Bauer: What's the history of the relationship?
- Nina Myers: He introduced me to Wald
- Jack Bauer: So that Wald could buy the schematics for CTU and blow it up as a diversion for a nuclear strike?
- Nina Myers: I didn't know it was part of a larger plan to detonate a nuclear device
- Jack Bauer: Then why are you so sure Faheen is involved?
- Nina Myers: Because before I was arrested I heard Faheen was involved in something in Los Angeles. Something "substantial."
- Jack Bauer: Where is he in Visalia now?
- Nina Myers: I'm not going to give you until we get there. if you knew how to get to him, you wouldn't need me anymore and the deal I made wouldn't do me much good if I'm dead
- George Mason: [after Jack choked Nina in the interrogation room] alright, you're done: get out of here
- Jack Bauer: Why?
- George Mason: Why? Because you've lost it. That's why
- Jack Bauer: Right now she's think she won the lottery, she's in control you want her to tell the truth? You take that away from her
- George Mason: [Sarcastically] by killing her? Yeah that'll work
- Jack Bauer: No, I'm giving her someone to answer to, someone to be afraid of. She has to believe that I'd be willing to put my revenge over finding this bomb
- George Mason: You're telling me your not?
- Jack Bauer: [while they watch Nina from a monitor] it had to look like that. Look at me, there's no emotion here, now look at her
- George Mason: Let's say for the time being you've made your point. What would your next move be?
- Jack Bauer: You let me go back in there. Show her that I have the power to do anything I want to her
- George Mason: If I let you go back in there...
- Jack Bauer: [Interrupts him] all I need is five minutes. Just don't let anyone in that room and raise the thermostat ten degrees. Will you let me have five minutes?
- George Mason: Yeah
- President David Palmer: I just got word that military resources are being moved out of Los Angeles
- Roger Stanton: Yes Mr. President
- President David Palmer: On your order?
- Roger Stanton: Yes. I was implementing the plan as soon as you ordered it
- President David Palmer: No. I told Rayburn not to trigger any evacuation
- Roger Stanton: I should've doubled checked everything Rayburn told me before I took any action Mr. President, it's inexcusable. I take full responsibility
- President David Palmer: We'll worry about that later. I just told Lynn to counter mandate that order: make sure it happens immediately
- Roger Stanton: Right away Sir
- President David Palmer: How did you find out about the military evacuation?
- Sherry Palmer: I made some phone calls: just following up on a rumor. I can't tell you anymore than that
- President David Palmer: Oh, you will tell me more and I will not ask you again
- Sherry Palmer: I am not a member of your staff, I am your wife
- President David Palmer: Ex-wife and you will tell me because the safety and security of this country is more important than any of your power plays
- Sherry Palmer: Yeah despite everything that's happened, I love you
- President David Palmer: Oh, please
- Sherry Palmer: I always will and whether you want to believe it or not, everything that I have done has been at your best interest. If you won't give me a second chance at your heart, let me help in the ways you know I can and I can't help you unless you give me some idea of what you're facing. I was able to find something your own staff couldn't find. I didn't have to warn you. I came here of my own accord
- President David Palmer: Terrorists have planned a strike against Los Angeles. NSA thinks it'll be sometime today
- Sherry Palmer: What kind of strike?
- President David Palmer: Nuclear
- Sherry Palmer: Oh my God
- President David Palmer: Talk to me. Come on
- Sherry Palmer: I got the information about the military evacuation from someone inside the defense department
- President David Palmer: Who?
- Sherry Palmer: A high level staffer. His in the loop. He owed me a favor, but there's something more important. He also told me there are members of your own administration allying against you. They want control of your Presidency. That's why I came here today
- President David Palmer: Who?
- Sherry Palmer: People who disagree with your policies who want to impose their will on the country. There have been deals made under the table. Back room promises. Now I can keep digging: find out if you want my help
- President David Palmer: If I accept your help, it won't be about us, it will be about what's doing the best for the country
- Sherry Palmer: Oh, sweetheart you can call it anything you want
- President David Palmer: I'll get you a secure line and a private room to make your calls
- Sherry Palmer: Then I'll come to you as I find out more
- President David Palmer: This had not been one of your manipulations. The stakes are too high
- Nina Myers: [to Ed, while in an armored car, as Jack sits nearby] so how are ya?
- Ed Miller: Don't bother: I'm here because I have to be. Not because I'm your friend
- Nina Myers: Well, you're here because after I help stop the bomb Jack will try to kill me. Which of course he will. What if you can't stop him? I mean no offense, let's face it your no match for Jack. You're just not that ruthless. So he manages to get it on you and pulls the trigger, what happens then? Because of the pardon he knows if he kills me he'll spend the rest of his life in jail
- Ed Miller: [to Jack] do you have some way of shutting her up, I'm not thinking of?
- Nina Myers: Of course Jack's mind is thinking that's not such a bad deal, small price to pay to avenge his wife's death. What about his daughter? Is he thinking about her? She's already lost one parent, if he kills me she'll have no one. Jack knows I'm right. He'll just use me to stop the bomb, and then go home to Kim
- Nina Myers: [to Jack, referring to Kim] she needs you
- Reza Naiyeer: I didn't transfer the money...
- Tony Almeida: [Interrupts him] you transferred the money into the account
- Reza Naiyeer: [Raises his voice] I didn't transfer the money
- Tony Almeida: Well, you better tell me who did or I'm taking you in
- Reza Naiyeer: Why are you doing this?
- Tony Almeida: Friends of mine were doing their best to protect the citizens of the country were murdered today: probably by the same people you're funding. Is that a good enough reason for you?
- Reza Naiyeer: I told you before, I don't know anything else
- Tony Almeida: [after noticing Reza's parents standing outside on the lawn, before putting handcuffs on him] your parents. Stand up and put your hands up, and place your hands behind your head. Its shame, it's going to break their heart. I have to walk you right past them, they'll see who their son really is
- Reza Naiyeer: I confirmed the transfers but I didn't make them. I was just covering the records. I didn't want them to get into trouble
- Tony Almeida: Who? Who are you covering for? Who transferred that money into Syed Ali's accounts?
- Reza Naiyeer: Bob Warner. Marie's father
