Back in the Saddle Again. If only '7th Heaven' was!

Warning: Spoilers
Every time you think this show has turned a corner it plummets back into being very clearly one that has reached its peak, and is now on a very long way down. Based on the quality here and from across this seventh series it is shocking to me that it was allowed to run for another five years.

They've badly missed Barry Watson and Jessica Biel, and the whole squad of people they've brought in to try and plug the gap have failed woefully.

I really don't care about Lucy and Kevin's relationship. I'm bored to the back teeth with the constant whining from the female characters every time their man even dares to talk to another woman, or vice versa. And aas for Eric's endless toying with us that he's done as a Vicar - either go back to it or be quiet.

The only funny thing here was when Annie (another character who hasn't done anything interesting in ages) made reference to the fact she'd said similar things before. Don't we just know it!

The only relationship that still works is Eric and Ruthie, so the writers stick them together for a decent scene at the end, and pray it papers over the cracks of a thin episode.

The scene of the girls riding together at the start and end was clearly an attempt to fill time too.

Dire.
