While it's still a good show I do feel that '7th Heaven' has taken a dip in quality in recent episodes.
It's always been a show that required the audience to suspend their disbelief in order to enjoy it, but that seems to be being stretched more and more as time is going on.
Perhaps, as sad as it sounds, Mary and Matt do need to move on in order to give the show a second wind, because although I know the show runs for 11 years, it's difficult to see how it gets there based on this episode.
