And so it's onto S2 of '7th Heaven', and in the break between series the kids have all grown a bit taller, Annie's hair's got a bit lighter, but the show remains the same. No big retooling here.

It's much of the same really, complete with the apparently essential 'light-hearted story involving Simon'.

Powerful and moving at some points, this was a good episode, though surely Annie's Dad would have pitched up to walk her down the aisle?

Warning: Spoilers
For some reasons, I always thought season 2 was a sure improvement from season 1. The year 1997/1998, was a great year for TV. I can't think of one bad season, especially on the show's network, The WB. This season has its fair share of ridiculous plots and storylines, but it is a show you mostly enjoy laughing at, rather than with. So it's no big bother. It's a shame writers didn't go through with what was hinted, before the opening credits. And decided to go a more « traditional » root. Lucy and Mary finally came to blows, and it was something long overdue. I wasn't a fan of that « kill them with kindness » subplot. It felt too unrealistic and corny, even for them.
