Little Pete has a fixation with a card that comes in every package of underwear saying 'Inspected by 34'. Now Pete wants to meet this man because he is a hero in the eyes of Pete. No binding, no chapping and everything held in tight, Inspector 34 must be perfect. So he writes a letter to the Inspector and gets a reply.
This is where the story gets kind of strange. Pete is to meet the man behind an old warehouse in the middle of the night. Then when he get his first look at the Inspector, the man states that he has seen Pete grow in underwear from a toddler 3 to a size 14 regular. Man, that is freaky!
It even gets more weird when the Inspector can name all the underwear sizes and assortments that each member of the cast is wearing. Perhaps it was just me but I can see many problems with those lines and the intentions people will make from those lines. But I regress.
Inspector 34 is so perfect in every way that he is not living his life. Little Pete is going to show the Inspector that all things do not have to be perfect. In fact, having flaws is part of living.
The story was actually well-meaning and gave us an educated lesson on all our flaws. The episode was well acted and had some humorous gags throughout the show. In a time of youth and innocents, this episode is an entertaining view of life. But as time progresses and youth gives way to adulthood with children, this episode is somewhat disturbing.
