Clark Kent Is Framed!
ccthemovieman-110 August 2006
A couple of hoods, show regulars you see all the time but don't know their names, are holed up in a shack in a shootout with police. Perry White and Clark Kent drive in (in a convertible, no less, despite bullets flying in their direction.).

After tear gas in lobbed into the shack, one crook (played by regular John Doucette, who looks a lot like Ben Welden) comes out and, before he is handcuffed, plants a wad of bills in the glove compartment of Kent's car. The other crook has a stick of dynamite and is about to throw it but Superman appears out of nowhere and literally steps on the sticks, muffling the blast.

With both crooks now in custody, Doucette implicates Kent. Lo and behold, the money is found in Kent's car and Insp. Henderson, much to his chagrin, has no choice but arrest Kent along with the other two.

Later, Clark asks Perry White, who believes Kent is innocent, to "fire" him nonetheless so Kent can try to become one of the mob member and find out who heading this gang.

The rest of the story is very interesting as we see Kent proving himself to the big boys, a snooping Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen becoming captives (what else is new?), Superman flying to South Africa to get diamonds, Perry White being drugged, on and on. Lots of stuff in here. The only disappointment was the ending, which was abrupt and not equal to the rest of the show.

Clark Get to Be the Bad Guy
Hitchcoc7 February 2015
A couple of desperate characters frame Clark Kent by planting money in his glove box. He comes under suspicion but no one really believes he is responsible. A plot is hatched to get him undercover to find out who is the brains of the outfit. The crooks have created a kind of Mission Impossible situation where they get information from hospitalized people, making them think they are being helped by the FBI. Clark/Superman pretends to be a safe cracker and goes along with all of this. Unfortunately, Lois and Jimmy come along and screw everything up, as usual. There is a big diamond robbery and Superman must use some creativity to get things to work out. The crime part of it makes this quite a bit of fun. The crooks are much more creative than the usual bunch.
