- Dr. Charles Moffet develops the new prototype super-helicopter code-named 'Airwolf' for 'the' FIRM (CIA cover), but at the demonstration for the brass shoots senator William Dietz, destroys the control center and disappears with it to Khadafi's Lybia, where he proves French mirages are no match for it, sadistically enjoying excessive privileges. FIRM head Michael Coldsmith Briggs III, nicknamed 'Archangel', is hell-bent to recuperate it. So he and his sexy confident Gabrielle Ademaur spare no effort to recruit by seduction or blackmail brilliant Vietnam vet pilot Stringfellow Hawke, who lived as a recluse with his dog but works as Hollywood stunt pilot with business partner Dominic Santini. Having his grandfather's priceless stolen art collection 'taken hostage' and lost that job, he accepts under a tough condition: Archangel most locate his brother, presumed dead in action, hoping for a rescue.—KGF Vissers
- [PART TWO] Hawke and his close ex-mentor, Dominic Santini, run the mission to take back Airwolf, discovering Charles Moffet has used it to destroy American targets for Kadhafi's Libyan forces, who will not give up their new toy so easily. By securing the helicopter, Hawke eventually fulfills his part of the deal as Moffet dumbly took his latest toy belly-dancer, prize for his raids, into the Sahara for his sadistic games. The F.I.R.M. is not forthcoming with information on his brother Saintjohn's fate. Unsatisfied, Hawke hides Airwolf in an extinct desert volcano and becomes custodian of the aircraft, vowing not to hand it over until The F.I.R.M. at least finds his brother.—KGF Vissers
- While demonstrating the capabilities of the new prototype supercopter codenamed 'Airwolf', Dr. Charles Moffet goes rogue, steals the chopper and kills almost all of the observers. At least one man -- Michael Coldsmith Briggs III survives. Briggs, codenamed 'Archangel' is the head of a covert organization called 'The Firm' and Archangel calls upon the one man in the world he knows that can retrieve the copter. The problem is Stringfellow Hawke is not only a loner, but a recluse as well. The amount of money the Firm is willing to pay for Airwolf's recovery is irrelevant. Hawke wants just one thing - the safe return of his brother, Saint John, who was captured during the Vietnam war and is evidently a POW.—R. Bernard Ment
- Hawke and his pal Santini head to Libya to recover Airwolf from it's diabolical creator, but Dr. Moffet turns up the heat by destroying a U.S. Navy warship. When Hawke's girlfriend Gabrielle goes undercover to discover Moffet's nefarious plans, she is captured and tortured and left to die in the desert. It's up to Hawke to recover the chopper, stop Moffet and save the girl, but will he do it all in time?—R. Bernard Ment
