Evelyn is a beautiful married woman who goes to a series of concert alone.
She sits next to gallic charmer Lemaire (Charles Boyer) who believes that she is unhappily married.
One evening Lemaire takes Evelyn out for a drink and goes to her house for a nightcap. They disturb a burglar was went to rob her house while she was in a bar with Lemaire.
When cornered the burglar knowing the embarrassment it would cause Evelyn that she is home alone with Lemaire demands money from them.
Lemaire wants Evelyn to pay the burglar and get the money from the safe. They are all disturbed when her husband walks in.
At first I was nor sure if this short drama was a scam or a farce. Lemaire seemed a bit shifty but once it gets to Evelyn's home it was very much a kind of comedy.
There is a good twist to it. Evelyn and her 'husband' were on to Lemaire.
