Missing Pieces

This is the second time that a Hitchcock anthology has used the Bradbury story from October Country. But this one is dull and there is little substance. A very bad, unimaginative artist has about given up. The critics are eating him alive in their reviews. One day he finds an intriguing jar with a lump of some kind in it floating in blue liquid. He puts it on a pedestal in his gallery. Soon people are flocking to it. They are of different opinions but all seem captivated in some way. The problem is lack of story development. The artist has a mean spirited rival who decides that the thing ought to be smashed. The ending is pretty weak.
