All Saints is a very well done show with interesting characters. This episode was no exception but makes me wonder; is Australia made up of 98% atheists? On every Aussie show that I watch most of the characters as complete non-believers who laugh at the thought of God. Thank goodness for Terry Sullivan.
Maybe it's just that the writers of these shows are as liberal and atheist as Hollywood writers. It's perplexing that none of the characters on All Saints, especially since they're medical professionals, were familiar with near death experiences. There have been numerous books about it since as far back as the 1970s, with interviews of people who were pronounced dead, and they all had a similar experience to Julie on this show. And the people were of different religions or no particular religion. You would think that nurse might be more familiar with this and not laugh at it.
