Even though Jean Stapleton played Judith, she was billed as "Giovanna Pucci" in the closing credits, which is a play on words; "Pucci" is taken from Stapleton's husband's last name (Putch), and Giovanna (Joan in Italian, the closest you can get to "Jean" in that language).
Jean Stapleton played not only Edith Bunker but the dour, grumpy girlfriend of a local butcher who was in love with Edith, and found a girlfriend who looked exactly like Edith but was completely the opposite of her personality-wise.
