Tyr steals a new slip-fighter while Andromeda faces a strange threat
Tweekums4 July 2018
Shortly after this episode opens what appears to be a Genite appears on the command deck and attacks Dylan with a katana! After it is defeating it crumbles into thousands of pieces. While this is going on Tyr disappears in the new advanced slip-fighter Harper had been working on; a message he received suggests he has gone looking for a woman. As the others search for him Andromeda encounters a kilometre high 'Dylan Hunt' which attacks them! After destroying this they go on but discover they have been boarded by one Bartolome Naz; he is a creator of advanced weapons systems and he is looking for Tyr... apparently he paid Tyr to murder his wife but instead he fell in love with her. Inevitably she is the woman who sent Tyr the message.

This episode started pretty well with the fight against the Genite and Tyr's disappearance; it then gets more than a little silly with the appearance of the giant Dylan. Things don't improve with the appearance of Bartolome Naz; the combination of his petty motives and almost comically large wheelchair make him too much of a pantomime villain. On the plus side there is some decent action and the way the various attackers are made of tiny components was rather inventive with some good effects. Overall not a bad episode just slightly disappointing.

Very Doctor "Who-ish"
gollygmatt2 July 2021
This is definitely not the best written episode of season 3 or the whole series for that matter. The writer(s) seems to have gotten lazy and stole the character concept of Davros from the Doctor Who franchise for the episode character Bartolome Naz.

This is a mediocre episode at best.
