Maybe a Little Thinking Would Have Helped

Arnold, the doctor's son, is given a tape recorder. He and Ope go around taping people with their knowledge. The decide to bug on of the jail cells when a felon is in there and find out where he hid the loot. The issue then becomes one of legality. Actually, Andy was guilty of tampering the minute he found out what the boys did. The way things play out is utterly unbelievable.

"Grab myself a hunk of nature".

What if the recorder had information that involved life or death? Andy was put in a tremendous bind. The boys directly disobeyed him multiple times. Herbie Faye perfectly cast regularly as a crook or con man on TAGS with brilliant delivery & timing.. Lots of script holes as usual. Must get cold in winter with no glass on the cell windows. Arnold Bailey (Sheldon Collins) is a very strong addition to the cast. Goober (George Lindsey) provided some great laughs. He's getting worked in as a part-time deputy which is preposterous how dimwitted he is. The bent badge and prisoner saying boo are redos but were hilarious. The 2nd TAGS lawyer named Bentley. Not great but better than average episode.
