Rumbold makes the usual useless mess of investigating formal complaints involving Peacock and insubordinate section chiefs Tibbs and Slocombe insolently challenge his floorwalker authority. Mr. Grace cashed a contract to let e f-perfume company sell their products from a stand on the floor, but their 'Bliss Girl' didn't arrive through the record fog unlike creative staff, so one of them must temporarily man it in the ladies, but as they're least-staffed, Humphries is assigned. He also proves a charming, shrewd salesman for ladies-ware, who costs Slocombe the fat commission on a fur coat after top-notch improvised modeling. Peacock must humiliatingly stand in for Humphries, for once under Tebbs.
