After Rita (Charlize Theron) leaves with Michael (Jason Bateman),, the two CIA agents in the surveillance van are reading her file. Much of the text is obscured by her photo but appears to be reports of her meetings with Michael. However, the last paragraph is briefly visible and reads, "Any future inquiries should be directed to Brad Elliott in the Property Gold room as he is the one who spewed all of this out onto his laptop in order to make a prop that nobody will likely ever see. If this has been seen by camera, then perhaps he hasn't done his job well, and should continue to type information relevant to the show."
A few shots after the lawyer Bob Loblaw (Scott Baio) mentions that they should check the conference room for listening devices, a microphone boom (purposely) drops into view for a couple of seconds.
Rita (Charlize Theron) mentions that they shouldn't "cast Yanks as Brits in films 'cause you can always tell." This is probably a nod to both her (Charlize Theron) and Dave Thomas (Trevor). While neither is American (she is South African and he's Canadian), they also aren't British despite playing them here, and, just as Rita says, it is pretty easy to tell.
The scene in which Rita (Charlize Theron) is admiring the Gold Star, followed by Uncle Trevor (Dave Thomas) closing the lid on her fingers, directly references the correlating jewel box scene in the film Pretty Woman (1990).
"Love, Indubitably", the film Rita (Charlize Theron) and Michael (Jason Bateman) go to see, is a spoof on the film Love Actually (2003), starring Hugh Grant.
