Enjoy the Sarcasm
cbmd-373527 September 2021
In the preview to this episode she intimates marital problems due to her career. But at the end it seems as those problems equally due to poor quality husband.

Frank Overton is often labeled as looking older than his age, in part because he is often partnered with women 10-15 years older than him, as he is here. MS Stanwyck is well known for her marriage and affairs with much younger men. Best known for serious roles, here Frank is gorgeous in a tux, fun to watch and has the best lines-sarcastic and self deprecating, a welcome change from his long suffering wife. He's the 10 and she's the 5 star.

One more tailored role for Stanwyck

It is definitely easier in this series to count the stories in which Barbara Stanwyck doesn't play a female executive than those where, on the contrary, she is. This one makes no exception and remains in the line of the others. A good domestic drama where Stanwyck is the locomotive and the rest of the cast the carriage. It's useless to spoil any further, there is nothing exceptional, compared to the other episodes.
