A Top Episode From The Series....
WinTheGreen3 February 2022
Episodes like this are the reason to watch Baretta. It really glues your eyes to the screen and Robert Blake has great command of his art. Slim Pickens is excellent here as well.

The ending is simply fantastic.

Highest recommendation.

One of the most interesting of the whole series, if not the very best.

Warning: Spoilers
A man - Slim Pickens - has his wife badly wounded by a cat burglar who robbed their apartment at night. She is in deep coma. The man saw the burglar whilst fighting against him before he succeeded in escape, and Baretta have serious suspicion against an acquaintance of his, a man already suspected in affairs like this one. But the man has a solid alibi, and Baretta can't do anything against him. But Pickens is deaf on that side, he seeks revenge against the man who nearly killed his wife. The suspected burglar is a true God believer and his character is really compelling, he gets the audience empathy, whilst Picken's one may not after all. The funny thing here is seeing Pickens wearing his worker helmet nearly all long the episode, especially in scenes when he is not supposed to. And I guess that for a simple construction worker, he lives in a rather fancy flat... Interesting story, where the bad guy is really hard to find. I love this. It's rare to see a lead cop character trying so hard to nail a poor man seeking justice.

Look out for the climax, totally unexpected. Believe me.
