Will Friedle: Terry McGinnis, Batman
Quotes
-
[as Terry is on his way to find Bane]
Bruce Wayne : Remember, he was a formidable opponent. Be careful.
Batman : Come on, he must be a zillion years old. What trouble could an old geezer...
[remembers who he's talking to]
Batman : Never mind.
-
Batman : How'd you con the formula out of Bane?
Jackson Chappell : In the end, he needed Venom just to keep going. It got so bad he couldn't even make it himself. He had to trust someone.
Batman : And now you're cashing in by selling poison to kids?
-
Batman : [seeing Bane emaciated and on a respirator] What happened to him?
Jackson Chappell : Too many years on Venom. That's what the stuff will do to you.
-
Batman : [tracking the slappers dealer] That must be the hideout.
Bruce Wayne : The old Gotham Herald building? It's been abandoned for years.
Batman : Sure. Who reads newspapers anymore?
-
Jackson Chappell : No deliveries tonight, thanks to Batman.
Batman : [crashing through the skylight] Somebody mention my name?
-
Mary McGinnis : I got a call from your school today. They said you were sleeping in class again.
Matt McGinnis : Ooh! Busted.
Mary McGinnis : What's going on, Terry?
Terry McGinnis : Nothing. I've just been busy.
Matt McGinnis : [taunting singsong] Yeah. Busy with Dana.
Mary McGinnis : Your teacher said he sent home another demerit file.
Matt McGinnis : [reaching for Matt's backpack] I'll get it.
Terry McGinnis : Hey! Out of my stuff, twip!
-
Batman : Are you sure this is the place?
Bruce Wayne : He's there, all right. It's been twenty years since he left prison, but I've made it my business to keep track of his whereabouts.
-
Bruce Wayne : I've been testing the new sky cam, and picked up something at Vid-City Electronics.
Terry McGinnis : What?
Bruce Wayne : Late shoppers.
-
Terry McGinnis : So, she'll let me out to work for you and go to school. Otherwise, I'm in solitary; big time.
Bruce Wayne : At least you managed to keep one of these.
Terry McGinnis : Barely. I got a real problem here. She doesn't trust me anymore, and nothing I say is gonna change her mind. You got any ideas on how to play this?
Bruce Wayne : Arch-criminals, I know how to handle. Mothers are something else.
-
Terry McGinnis : [as Bruce analyzes a slapper] What is it?
Bruce Wayne : Venom. A highly addictive steroidal compound. Only one man has the formula: Bane.
Terry McGinnis : I've heard of him.
Bruce Wayne : You're going to meet him, as well.
Terry McGinnis : Sure. As long as I'm home by 9:00.
[seeing Bruce's look]
Terry McGinnis : I told you I was in trouble.
-
Mary McGinnis : What are those?
Terry McGinnis : Nothing.
Mary McGinnis : Don't lie to me. They're slappers, aren't they? I've seen them on the news.
Terry McGinnis : Mom, it's not what you think.
Mary McGinnis : The lies, the poor grades, the unexplained absences. It's because of these, isn't it?
Terry McGinnis : No! They're not even mine!
Mary McGinnis : Then where did they come from?
Terry McGinnis : I found them in the locker room at school.
Matt McGinnis : Yeah, right.
Terry McGinnis : Jeez, Matt! Mom, you gotta believe me.
Mary McGinnis : I don't want to hear any more. You're grounded.
-
Dana Tan : Wasn't that a great game? I mean, the part you stayed awake for.
Terry McGinnis : It wasn't you, honest. I'm just seriously REM-deprived. See you tomorrow.
-
Batman : [finding slappers in Mason's gym locker] Jackpot.
Coach Creagar : [whacking him over the head] Looks like I got a rodent problem. I don't know why you're poking your nose in my gym, and frankly, I don't care.
-
Bruce Wayne : Terry?
Batman : I'm okay.
Bruce Wayne : What about Bane's friend?
Batman : [finding Chappell under a pile of rubble] It's the venom. I think he had too much of a bad thing.
