- [Bruce Wayne/Batman has been temporarily blinded. Leslie orders him to take rest to recuperate]
- Bruce Wayne: No way, Leslie! Not as long as the Penguin has that chopper.
- Alfred Pennyworth: [clears throat] If there's some question, Master Bruce, I urge you to resolve it straightaway.
- [looks out the window and sees the signal]
- Alfred Pennyworth: You have a call on your private line.
- Bruce Wayne: Then let's go!
- Alfred Pennyworth: In your condition, sir?
- Bruce Wayne: If you think a little inconvenience like this is going to stop me...
- [he knocks over a lamp]
- Alfred Pennyworth: Indeed.
- Dr. Leslie Thompkins: It's too soon to know for sure, Bruce, but it looks like it's only temporary. It might last two, maybe three days at the most - assuming, of course, you actually follow my instructions for a change.
- The Penguin: This is the Penguin speaking. I have taken control of your precious Raven and intend to be paid handsomely for its return. I will contact the mayor's office with the instructions for delivery of the ransom.
- [saving Dr. Lee from gunfire, Bruce is knocked back by an exploding car hood]
- Bruce Wayne: Aah!
- The Penguin: As of this moment, the most dangerous bird in the sky is the Penguin.
- The Penguin: Your aim appears to be a little off today, Batman. I don't think you can hit the broad side of a barn, let alone the broad side of this bird. You're blind as a bat. Sightless and helpless.
- Batman: [kicking a metal barrel at him] You got one right.
- Batcave Computer: [as the Batplane is shot down] Red alert! Red alert! Traumatic impact! Heat damage to fuselage. Breach to hull. Extensive structural damage.
- Batman: Tell me something I don't know.
- The Penguin: Quite a machine, this Raven. Amazing what its communications equipment can do. Don't you agree? You received my instructions?
- Mayor Hamilton Hill: They arrived by messenger this morning. You know, 100 million is a lot of money. It'll take time to raise that much.
- The Penguin: You're stalling, Hill. Obviously, you're not taking me seriously. I warned you not to make that mistake. Apparently, I'll have to show you why.
- Mayor Hamilton Hill: This is Mayor Hamilton Hill with a personal message for the Penguin, wherever you may be tonight. You've won. Just bring the Raven X-111 to the drop site at midnight, and I promise you'll get everything that's coming to you.
- The Penguin: [chuckling in triumph] You see? I told you they'd knuckle under.
- Eagleton: But, boss, it sounds too easy.
- The Penguin: Relax. With the Raven's instruments, we'll be able to spot a trap a mile away, literally.
- [Eagleton gasps as Penguin ejects the blade of his umbrella sword]
- The Penguin: And if, in fact, this is a double-cross, may heaven...
- [cutting buttons on Eagleton's shirt off with each word]
- The Penguin: help... them... all.
- Batman: Those ZVF components I gave you, you wired them into this thing?
- Dr. Leslie Thompkins: I know how to follow instructions. Just be careful with that power pack. You have to keep recharging it.
- Alfred Pennyworth: Will it work, sir?
- Batman: Only one way to find out.
- [going through an obstacle course, ending with kicking a workout dummy in half]
- Alfred Pennyworth: Well done, sir.
- Batman: I was aiming for its head. It isn't perfect, but it will have to do. I can only pray that the same technology that created this crisis can help me put an end to it.
- The Penguin: And where do you think you're going? You've hit a dead end, rodent.
- [using his grappling gun, Batman evades Penguin's umbrella sword]
- The Penguin: You're only prolonging the inevitable.
- [feeling water drip on him, Batman feels for and finds a water pipe; as he opens the valve, water pours out into the lava below, and he uses Penguin's coughing from the steam as an echo-locator]
- The Penguin: WAAHH!
- [as Batman lands, punches are thrown]
- The Penguin: Not possible. You're supposed to be helpless. Helpless!
- Mayor Hamilton Hill: Just what I was afraid of. According to the comptroller's office, we can't come close to putting that ransom together, not without shutting down basic municipal services.
- Detective Harvey Bullock: So what other options do we got?
- Batman: [emerging from the shadows] None, gentlemen. Which is why you're going to do exactly what the Penguin wants you to.
- Alfred Pennyworth: [after an explosion] Master Bruce!
- Bruce Wayne: Home, Alfred. Now.
- Alfred Pennyworth: But, sir, you need medical attention.
- Bruce Wayne: No! I don't want the Wayne Tech doctors examining me. Call Leslie. Have her meet us at the house.
- Alfred Pennyworth: [helping him to the car and driving away] Begging your pardon, sir, but why so secretive?
- Bruce Wayne: Because I don't want anyone to find out... that I can't see.
- Dr. Leslie Thompkins: [removing Bruce's bandages] I'd feel a lot better about this if you'd listened to me.
- Alfred Pennyworth: Master Bruce?
- Dr. Leslie Thompkins: Well?
- Alfred Pennyworth: [dropping his newspaper] My word, sir! Surely you're not...
- Bruce Wayne: [catching it and looking at the front-page article on Penguin's re-incarceration] No, Alfred. I can see just fine. And right now, I've never seen anything prettier.
