Chief Superintendent Brownlow has organised a tea dance for retired staff and loved ones, Tony is tasked with picking up the cakes, and former Officer Geoffrey Allerton, a charismatic ex copper.
Absolutely hilarious, it's more like a Carry on film than an episode of The Bill, I can't believe this was transmitted in April, this would have been a perfect Christmas episode. It is absolutely hilarious, and fulll of slapstick and double entendres.
I don't even know where to begin, after the previous, slightly heavy episode, this comes as a totally refreshing change. Jeff Stewart gets to be even more outlandish as Reg, and is clearly having a ball (two.)
Tenniel Evans, a total class act is terrific here as Geoffrey Allerton. He's a little reminiscent of a character played by Glyn Houston some years before, by Evans is here in a totally different capacity.
Quality comedy, 9/10.
